Definitions

1. the relative rise or fall of a quantity compared to an earlier moment in time. If a section moved ten tons last week and 12 tons this week, the statistic is rising. If a section moved ten tons last week and only eight tons this week the statistic is falling. (HCO PL 30 Jan 66)
