the function of management which is concerned with establishing personnel needs, ensuring competent personnel are procured and trained and then deciding on their placement and best utilization. Following this personnel management consists of maintaining accurate records of personnel performance and service which can be used to decide on promotions, transfers, demotions and dismissals.
