Definitions

an organizational format of a production plant and machinery in which all the parts and workers needed to produce a completed product are located in one production cell or section of the factory. Cellular organization is in contrast to flow line production wherein parts and workers form a single manufacturing line with work flowing in a single direction through the entire factory as in an assembly line.
