An auditing session given by L. Ron Hubbard on the 17 February 1954

And this is a demonstration, February 17, 1954, on exteriorization.

LRH: [to pc] And you have been out in the past, is that right?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Yeah. All right. Did you find yourself yo-yoing here during the auditing; that is, popping out and in or something like that?

PC: Yeah, if I think about it, in I go …

LRH: If you think about it, in you go. That's real good. Now, let's just try and be four feet back of the chair and mock-up a body around yourself. Do that? Good. And let's move sideways out of this new mock-up body. Got that?

PC: No.

LRH: Well, let's back out of this new mock-up body, let's just be back of it. Now think about being in it and pop in,

PC: Well, I got back in relation with that chair.

LRH: Ah, you did. Wow! Let's just take a chance here and see if we can't just bust up an automatic machine. This is not too safe to do. Very risky. But let's be three feet back of the head now. Let's think about being in the head and move in. All right, let's be the space back of the head-be the space back of the head now, and think about moving in, and then move in.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Now be the space back of the head and then think about being in, and move in.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Be the space back of the head, then think about being in the head, and move in. It's a specialized type of machine, here, that we're handling.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Now be the space back of the head, and think of being in the head, and move in.

PC: All right.

LRH: All right. Be the space back of the head now, think about being in the head, and move in.

PC: All right.

LRH: Let's do that again, several times. Getting easy to do?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Getting less automatic?

PC: Yes.

LRH: All right. Let's do it a few more times.

PC: I actually have to make a sort of a machine that's drilled into that.

LRH: Oh, good. Ail right. Well, now let's be the space back of the head-the space in back of the head.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Now let's think of moving into Camelback Mountain, a big mountain up here to the north, and let's move into it.

PC: I don't think I want in there.

LRH: Oh, you don't want in there. Let's pick out a smaller object.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Let's think about moving in that, and move in that one.

PC: Okay, but I don't stay there, I mean …

LRH: Okay, well that doesn't matter. We're not trying to take care of the rejector.

PC: Okay,

LRH: Let's think about being in the object now and be in it.

PC: All right.

LRH: And then be out of it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And be in it.

PC: All right.

LRH: Be out of it.

PC: Well … I'm now still in.

LRH: Still in?

PC: Yes.

LRH: Well, all right.

Can you move out?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Okay. Now let's decide to move in, and move in.

PC: I don't want in there again.

LRH: You don't want in there again?

PC: No.

LRH: Okay. Let's mock-up a machine that moves you in and out of objects.

Mock-up a machine and say it does.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Duplicate it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Duplicate it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Duplicate it.

Duplicate it. Duplicate it. Throw it away. Mock it up again.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Be it.

PC: Ob, okay.

LRH: All right. Blow it up.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Mock it up again,

PC: Okay.

LRH: Be it.

Blow it up.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: It's not very satisfactory blowups?

PC: Well no, I didn't-I don't like to blow anything up, you know.

LRH: You don't, huh?

PC: No.

LRH: All right. Mock-up the machine again.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Be in it. Be it. Oh, get this idea while you're being that machine, "I'm this machine that moves things in and out."

PC: All right.

LRH: Feel real big and tough and important. Sole intent in life.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Okay. All right, throw the machine away.

All right. Mock yourself up again as a machine that moves things in and out.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: You got it?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Throw it away.

All right. Now mock yourself up as a machine that moves things in and out and then move something in and out.

PC: Mm-mm.

LRH: Now do it some more. Now move preclears in and out.

PC: Body and all or just … ?

LRH: I don't care.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Move them in and out.

PC: Yeah, I got that.

LRH: Are they getting easier?

PC: Yeah, I like that kind of thing.

LRH: Yeah, all right. All right, now let's throw all that aside. Mock yourself up as a machine that moves preclears in and out.

PC: All right.

LRH: Okay. Now move one in and nail him in.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Okay. Now do that again.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And again.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And again.

PC: All right.

LRH; And again.

PC: Yes.

LRH: All right. Now let's get a preclear that you've just moved out, who has terrific perception.

PC: Hmm, okay.

LRH: Let's blind him with a red-hot poker and move him in.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Okay. Now let's do that again.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Okay. Do it again.

PC: Hmm.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: Mm-mm.

LRH: All right. Now let's liberate several thousand preclears and have them all attack you.

PC: [laughs] Oh, oh, ha! Hum … wow!

LRH: Rough?

PC: Yeah-well, yes … I mean … they're attacking, you know.

LRH: Okay. Now mow them all down. And move them all into things good and deep.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Mock-up another thousand preclears that you've just exteriorized, that have full perceptions.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Have them attack you.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Mow them all down.

PC: All right.

LRH: And interiorize them.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Got that?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now mock-up a thousand bodies and bury them.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And do that again.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And again.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And again.

PC: All right.

LRH: And again.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Okay. Throw that all away. Now let's be back of the head now. And put a (quote) "hand" (unquote) on each shoulder so that you can steady yourself there.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Is that real good?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Now let's be at some distance from the body.

PC: I'm using the body for a reference point on this stuff I'm running …

LRH: Well, we're going to fix that up, right now. Now mock yourself up as just having exteriorized from a kangaroo.

PC: [laughs]

LRH: All right. Now get this kangaroo as your sole communication link with the rest of the human race.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Get the beautiful English he speaks.

PC: Yes.

LRH: How well he thinks.

PC: Yes.

LRH: And how well he hops.

PC: Yeah!

LRH: And how that really covers ground.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And how well he can box.

PC: Yes.

LRH: And feel very sympathetic because of all of the experiences you have shared with this kangaroo.

PC: Okay, fine.

LRH: Got that?

PC: Yeah, sure.

LRH: All right, Pat the kangaroo on the head and have him hop away.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Now mock-up a lion that you've just exteriorized from.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And get how enjoyable his diet is.

PC: Yes.

LRH: And get how ferocious he is.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: How nice that is.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Get a whole environment running away just at the thought of him.

PC: Yes.

LRH: And get how valuable this lion is.

PC: Mm-mm.

LRH: And how pleasant his breath smells.

PC: Yeah, [laughs]

LRH: Okay. Now set him aside.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Now mock-up an anchor point.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And get this as the only anchor point in the whole world.

PC: All right.

LRH: And get a mob of people insisting that it is.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And a whole mob insisting you keep your attention on that anchor point.

Okay. Now let's get them very insistent on it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Get them threatening to punish you like mad if you take your attention off this anchor point.

PC: Yeah, I'm getting panicky about that anchor point.

LRH: You are, huh?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Well, mock-up yourself as courageous about the anchor point.

PC: Yeah, okay.

LRH: And then make yourself flip-flop—yourself flip-flop with fear.

PC: Mmm.

LRH: Just get scared stiff and flop all over the place.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Do it again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Do it again.

Got it?

PC: Yes.

LRH: All right. You still got that anchor point?

PC: Yeah, it's there.

LRH: All right. Have the crowd insist, there, that you keep your attention on it, and only it, and that you are it.

PC: All right, okay.

LRH: All right. Mock-up the anchor point as panicky.

PC: Oh, yeah, okay.

LRH: All right. Set that aside and mock-up another anchor point.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Have a crowd insist that you're it and that you keep your attention on it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Got that? Now make the anchor point panicky.

PC: Yeah. Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Set that aside and do it again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And do it again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And again.

PC: Mm-hm,

LRH: And again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Getting that anchor point good and panicky now?

PC: Yeah, it gets pretty nervous.

LRH: Okay. Set that aside. Now have the crowd and the anchor point all get nervous.

PC: All right.

LRH: Right. Set them aside. Put an anchor point there and a whole crowd.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now have everybody get nervous.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now have them begin to scream with fear, including the anchor point.

PC: Yeah, that's done.

LRH: All right. Set them aside.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Mock-up another anchor point and get a crowd insisting you exteriorize out of it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Okay. And you interiorize into it.

PC: All right.

LRH: All right. Get the crowd insisting that you get into it.

PC: Yes.

LRH: And you move out of it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Now get the crowd insisting that you stay out of it.

PC: Yes.

LRH: You move into it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now get the crowd insisting that you stay in it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: You move out. *

PC: Yeah.

LRH: You got that real good?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: All right. Throw all this aside.

Now be way above this building.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Got that real good?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And mock yourself unfailing. That is to say, being on the surface of the Earth and falling upwards into the sky.

PC: [laughs] Mm-hm.

LRH: Do that many times.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now mock yourself up as being in the center of the Earth and unfailing way up into space.

PC: I'm laying down, okay.

LRH: All right. Do that again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And do it again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And do it again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: How've you got that now?

PC: Hmm.

LRH: Real good?

PC: Yeah, it bothers-I keep wanting to grab things on the way, you know …

LRH: Yeah? All right. Mock-up some things to grab.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And lots of things to grab.

PC: Doing real good.

LRH: Real good?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Okay. Throw them all away.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And be a thousand feet above Earth.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Do that easily now?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Think of being in the body and don't move in.

PC: Mmm. Uh-it's hard to tell, but I moved back in.

LRH: Did you move back in? All right. Be a thousand feet above Earth.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: [to audience] This, by the way, is a sending machine.

[to pc] All right. Be a thousand feet above Earth.

PC: Mm-mm.

LRH: Mock-up a machine that will send you to Paris when you think of Paris.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And go to Paris.

PC: All right. Yep.

LRH: All right. Have the machine send you anyplace now, that you think of.

PC: Okay, [laughs]

LRH: Get what a lot of fun this is.

PC: Yeah, it's fun.

LRH: All right. Think of Ecuador and go to Ecuador.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Think of Canada and go to Canada.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Think of the South Pole and go to the South Pole.

PC: Mm-hm,

LRH: Think of the inside of a can of beans.

PC: Mm-hm, okay … okay, [laughs]

LRH: All right. Now think of Russia and go to Russia.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Now think of the Pacific Ocean and go to the Pacific Ocean.

PC: Yeah!

LRH: Think of the North Pole and go to the North Pole.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Think of the South Pole and go to the South Pole.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Think of the Moon. Go to the Moon.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Think of the Sun and go to the Sun.

PC: All right.

LRH: Think of Earth and go to Earth.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Think of Eisenhower's body.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Okay. Think of going into your own head and don't go there.

PC: I got it.

LRH: That work that time?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Good. All right. One of the simplest machines that you run into, a sending machine. Okay. Now, let's mock-up-let's throw all that away and let's mock-up a sending machine that is really a sender.

PC: All right.

LRH: And give it some whips and things, some weapons so that they can use them on you if you don't go,

PC: Hmm … hmm, yeah.

LRH: Yeah, got that?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Get that real good. Now mock yourself up and have the machine send a mock-up of you around.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Have it send it around to various places and have the mock-up perish as a result of this.

PC: Yeah, mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Let's do that again. Have it-mock-up-get real nervous now and perish.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: All right. Let's do that again.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Now let's do it again. Let's do it again. What's the matter?

PC: Well, the thing gets awful nervous, all right, but I'll have to do something to perish.

LRH: Oh, oh, all right. Well, you're the only one that can do anything with it anyhow.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: AH right. Now throw all that away.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Now let's find something that would not be too unpleasant to interiorize into.

PC: Not too unpleasant … Well, a tree, you know …

LRH: Hm?

PC: A tree.

LRH: A tree? All right. Interiorize into a tree. Find a tree and be in it.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Be out of it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Be in it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Be out of it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Be in it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Be out of it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Be in it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now just move yourself in and out of this tree with growing rapidity, till you can do it with great ease.

PC: I can.

LRH: Do that with great ease now?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Well, let's find something else that you could move in and out of with speed.

PC: Hmm.

LRH: Find something now, first, that wouldn't be too unpleasant to be into.

PC: Well, practically anything that's alive, you know.

LRH: Mm-hm. Oh, is that dead stuff?

PC: Oh, I don't like rocks.

LRH: You don't like rocks, huh?

PC: No.

LRH: Well, let's waste some impacts from rocks.

You wasting some impacts?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Waste some more of them.

Got it?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now let's mock-up a very small pebble and have it hit you.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: And a little bit bigger pebble and have it hit you. —,

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And a little bit bigger one.

PC: Yes.

LRH: And some more pebbles from various points of the sphere, and have them hit you.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Have something bigger than a pebble moving in on you now.

PC: Yeah. I got a big rock.

LRH: All right. Now have lots of those moving in on you.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now just see if we can't start an incoming avalanche of rocks on yourself that will just run like mad.

PC: From all directions?

LRH: Mm-hm.

PC: Yep.

LRH: Got one going?

PC: Yes.

LRH: Well, make it worse.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Make it run faster. Make it run much faster. Now have the rocks get up to the size of planets.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Get these planets coming in on you. Got it?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Add a few stars to the planets as they come in.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Okay, some more stars.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Some more heavy masses.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now have suns that have gone dark, that are terrifically massive, have those moving in on you too. Oh, let's get lots more moving in on you.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Oh, more of them.

PC: Okay.

LRH: More of them yet. And speed up the inflow.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Is that lots of them?

PC: Well, I ran-I'll say!

LRH: All right. Now gradually slow down this inflow …

PC: Yeah.

LRH: … until you've stopped it.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Got that?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: All right. Now throw a pebble away.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: And throw a little bit bigger pebble away.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Start in a little outflow from you, all around you, of gravel.

PC: Okay.

LRH; Now increase the size of the stuff flowing out.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Increase it again.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Let's throw one planet away.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now let's start an outpouring of planets in all directions.

PC: Yes.

LRH: They really going?

PC: Yes.

LRH: All right. Now as they flow out, why, add some suns to it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Oh, add lots of them to it now.

They going out?

PC: Yes.

LRH: Real good?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Feeling better as they go?

PC: Yeah. I mean-it's quite a lot to pack around here …

LRH: All right. Let's get more of them going, and have them going faster.

PC: I can get rid of some of these black ones.

LRH: Oh sure, throw big dark ones into it, that have gone dead and they very massive.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Increase the speed of outflow.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now slow it down.

PC: Mm-mm.

LRH: Now stop it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now start it up again.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Now stop it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now start it up again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And now stop it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Now start it up again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And now stop it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now turn it around and have it inflow. Oh, lots of them. Increase the speed of inflow.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Slow it down.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Stop it.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Turn it around and make it outflow.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Slow it down. Stop it.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Turn it around and make it inflow like mad.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Much more inflow.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Oh, just get stars and suns and planets and everything you can get to inflow there.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: A lot of heavy mass coming in. Get how massive and dense it is.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: How rocky it is.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: How hot it is.

PC: Mm-mm.

LRH: Now add to the speed of inflow, more inflow, more

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Now, slow it down.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Stop it.

PC: Hmm.

LRH: All right, turn it around and start it outflowing.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Now have it start flying out at a great rate of speed.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Tremendous quantities of stuff.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Oh, lots more.

That make you feel good?

PC: Yeah, [laughs]

LRH: Okay. Lots of them going now.

Got them going?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: All right. Slow it down and stop it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Now, start it flowing in now.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Increase the speed of inflow.

PC: Okay.

LRH: More of them.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: More of them.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: More of them. Feel like you're getting real dense?

PC: Yeah. And they keep coining in too.

LRH: Okay.

Now erect some screens and stop them.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Okay. Turn them around the other way and have the screens and everything else start flowing out.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Get them going like mad.

PC: Yeah, am …

LRH: Anything strange happening?

PC: Yeah, but I get them out there so far and they don't seem to want to go any further now.

LRH: Oh, really?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Well, build a machine that carries them, by dog sled or something, out further.

PC: Okay. Okay.

LRH: Did that work it now?

PC: Yeah and that's gone.

LRH: Well good. All right. Now turn them around and get them inflowing now. Lots of them.

PC: Hm-mm.

LRH: In they come. And have them come in with a little sound now.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: And put some good sound into them.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Coming in like mad.

PC: Yep.

LRH: More of them.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Now turn them around and have them outflow.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Have them outflow with sound now.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Really going good?

PC: Yes, good.

LRH: No difficulty with them?

PC: Mope.

LRH: Well, good.

PC: I notice the pitch, the sound keeps dropping, you know, like … gradually they move away.

LRH: Well, make the sound rise as they move away, just for kicks.

PC: Yeah, okay.

LRH: How does that do?

PC: Yeah, yeah. Well, I can make it do that.

LRH: Good. Good. Now have them move away silently.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Okay. Now just make them move away.

PC: Mm-mm.

LRH: Lots of them going?

PC: Yeah, lots.

LRH: Mm-hm. Okay. Now slow down that outflow and stop it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Turn it around and start it inflowing.

Doing that okay?

PC: Yeah, they 're com/rig in.

LRH: All right. Do you feel a little less disturbed about them coming in now?

PC: Well, it doesn't seem to make much difference, you know?

LRH: It doesn't make so much difference now?

PC: [laughs]

LRH: Well, let them come in.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Now let's see how suddenly we can stop them.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. And how suddenly you could make them go the opposite direction, flow out.

PC: Yes, like we started …

LRH: Okay. Now, just do this alternately. Make them flow in, flow out, flow in, flow out.

Real easy now?

PC: Yes.

LRH: How are you feeling? Better?

PC: Yeah, good.

LRH: All right. Throw them away.

All right. Be about a thousand feet above Earth and find something that you wouldn't mind interiorizing into.

PC: Mm-hm. Well, there's a little red wagon here.

LRH: All right. Interiorize into it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And exteriorize from it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Interiorize.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Exteriorize.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Okay. Now let's find a cave someplace.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Let's be in the cave.

PC: All right.

LRH: Be out of it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: In it.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Out of it.

Now, is this cave in a mountain?

PC: Yes, uh-huh.

LRH: Well, let's be in the center of that mountain.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And outside the mountain.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And in the center of the mountain.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And outside the mountain.

PC: Yes.

LRH: And in the center of the mountain.

PC: Yes.

LRH: And outside of it.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And inside of it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And outside of it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now move yourself into it and out of it with rapidity.

What's happening as you do that?

PC: Uh, not too rapid, like, I-I get in there and I want to look around, you know.

LRH: Okay. Well, all right.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Doing it better now?

PC: Mm-hm, yeah, uh-I don't like to do it too fast because I like to sort of, you know, get the feeling of the place before I move out again, and …

LRH: Uh-huh.

Well, let's see if you can get the feel of it a little more rapidly then; just speed that up.

Now be in the center of the mountain.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And get yourself a road map.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: And a radar set.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And a whole bunch of instruments that tell you what's on the outside of the mountain.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Consult the instruments.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Be outside the mountain.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Okay. Now read the instruments by telepathy.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: And be inside the mountain.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now have the instruments in chorus now say, "All right" and move out.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Now have them say, "All right" and move in.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now have them say, "Don't go out! Don't go out!"

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And move out.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And have the instruments in there say, "Don't move in! Don't move in!" and move in. Have the instruments say, "Don't move out" and move out.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Have the instruments say, "Don't move in" and move in.

And "Don't move out" and move out.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Okay. Let's sell them to a used plane dealer.

PC: Yeah. You bet! [laughs] Yeah. Oh, a cheapskate!

LRH: All right, now let's be in the center of Earth.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And let's look around real good.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: What do you find?

PC: Well, it's just sort of goop, you know?

LRH: Uh-huh,

PC: Uh …

LRH: Is it hot or cold?

PC: Well, it's pretty warm.

LRH: All right. Well, make it cold.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Now make it hot.

PC: All right.

LRH: Now make it cold.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Now be a thousand feet up.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Mock yourself up as a plane.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And I want you to dive down at Earth and not crash on the surface, but crash in the center of Earth.

PC: All right, [pause] Okay. Great.

LRH: Okay. Let's be way outside now.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And do that again.

PC: Hm. Okay.

LRH: Let's do that again.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And do it again.

PC: Yep.

LRH: Let's be way outside and mock ourselves up in an umpteen-trillion-dollar-diamond-plated airplane.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Take one diamond off of it and throw it away.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And crash it in the center of Earth.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Be way outside again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now, see how you can move yourself in and out of Earth.

PC: Yeah, the center is so dull though, you know, it's like …

LRH: Mm-hm.

PC: … you 'd like to go out of there.

LRH: Mm-hm.

PC: In and out …

LRH: Just move in and out a lot of times now.

PC: That makes me feel awfully conservative, you know.

LRH: It does, huh?

PC: Yeah, like … like … you know, it 's-uh, I feel like a banker, you know.

LRH: Uh-huh, real conservative?

PC: Yeah. Go into the vault, put things down, come back out without it, you k now.

LRH: Uh-huh.

PC: Pick up some more and you go into the vault-boy, this sounds particularly silly.

LRH: All right. Mock-up a lot of things while you're outside, now. Be outside and mock-up a lot of things.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Now take them down to the center of the Earth and store them.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Let's do that again.

PC: All right. Mm-hm.

LRH: Let's do it again.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: And again.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: And again.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Now let's take a tremendous number of very valuable items. Mock them up outside. And let's hide those in the center of Earth.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Let's do that again.

PC: I don't really want those things, you know.

LRH: Oh, well, does it have to be something you really wanted?

PC: Well, no, like … like it's just the … uh … I don't know, but it seemed like such a funny thing to be doing just moving in and out doing nothing you know.

LRH: Oh, I see.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Oh, a reason, why.

PC: Yeah, that's it.

LRH: All right. Let's be outside and get a good reason to move into the center of Earth. A reason-why machine.

PC: Yeah, mm-hm.

LRH: All right, now let's get a good reason to be out.

PC: Yes.

LRH: A good reason to be in.

PC: Uh -yeah.

LRH: A good reason to be out.

PC: [laughs] Really, they're kind of silly reasons, you know.

LRH: All right. The sillier the better.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Reason to be out.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Reason to be in.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Reason to be out and move out.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Reason to be in and move in.

PC: Yes.

LRH: All right. Now let's do something right therein the center of the Earth with no reason whatsoever.

PC: Yeah, okay.

LRH: All right. Now let's be outside.

PC: Yes.

LRH: And do something there with no reason.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Now be near the Earth.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Near the Moon.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Near the Sun.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Near the Earth.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Moon.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Sun.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Near the Earth.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Near the Moon.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Near the Sun.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Earth.

PC: Yep.

LRH: Moon. Sun.

PC: Yep.

LRH: Now get a good reason to be near the Earth.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Be near the Moon.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: All right. Get a good reason to be near the Sun.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Be near the Earth.

PC: Hmm. Okay.

LRH: All right. Now be a good reason to be near Mars.

PC: Uh-yeah.

LRH: And be on the other side of Earth.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Be near the Earth.

PC: Mm-hm.

M LRH: Near the Moon.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Sun.

Earth.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Moon. Sun. Earth. Moon. Sun. Earth, Moon, Sun. Now just spin yourself through that circuit.

PC: Yep.

LRH: Got it?

PC: Mm-hm. mm,

LRH: All right. Be near the Moon.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Near Mars.

PC: Yup.

LRH: Yup, be in the center of Mars.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Outside of Mars.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Now this time I want you to move down toward the surface of Mars. Move, not be.

PC: [laughs] I get an idea that's not safe!

LRH: Oh, no, is that so? All right. Now, let's move down toward the surface. I didn't say to be on the surface, just move down toward the surface.

PC: Okay, mm-hm.

LRH: And, now, be in the center.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Now be way outside.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Now move down toward the surface.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And be on the other side of Mars.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Now move down closer to the surface.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Mock yourself up in a big trap of glue.

PC: [laughs] Okay.

LRH: And be in the center of Mars.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now mock yourself up there in a big trap of glue.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: And blow up the trap.

Doesn't it blow?

PC: Yeah. It blew, I mean-well, no, it didn't blow.

LRH: Oh, I thought so. All right, Now just pack it down tight and make it dense enough, and then give it a swat and it'll blow.

Did you do that?

PC: Okay.

LRH: Did it blow now?

PC: Yeah, most of it's gone now.

LRH: Well, take the fragments now and blow them up to full-size.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Now, knock them down and make them blow.

PC: Well, they flattened out.

LRH: They flattened out. They don't.

PC: No.

LRH: Huh? Well, waste an explosion while you're right there.

PC: Mm-hm.

Waste some more explosions.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Waste some more.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Waste some more.

They really wasted?

PC: Yeah, they're just-you know, an empty place where nothing happens except a noise.

LRH: Okay. Now let's be outside of Mars.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Now mock-up a big force screen below you, between you and Mars.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. Now rush down toward the force screen and hit it and make yourself bounce out.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Now rush down toward the surface of Mars and hit the force screen and make yourself bounce out again.

PC: Yeah, well, I went on through.

LRH: You went on through?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Okay. All right. Now mock-up the force screen and make it bounce you out again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Okay. Throw the force screen away.

Be on the surface of Mars.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Be way outside of Mars.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Be on the surface.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Be way outside.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Be in the center of Mars.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Be in the center of Earth.

PC: Yeah. [laughs]

LRH: Center of the Moon.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Center of the Sun.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Center of Mars.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Center of Earth.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Center of the Moon.

PC: Mm-mm.

LRH: Center of the Sun.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Now be in the space between Earth and the Sun.

Now fan yourself off.

PC: Okay, [laughs]

LRH: Okay. Be on the surface of Mars.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now mock-up a thousand Martians moving in on you

PC: Yeah.

LRH: And have them ruin you and imprison you forever.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: I don't know when they started this, but they're stuffing me in rocks, [laughs]

LRH: Uh-huh. Well, have them stuff you in rocks.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Get how sad that is.

PC: Well, yeah. It's-I mean, like- like they don't put all of me in the same rock you know ? [laughs]

LRH: All right. Let's do it again a lot of times.

PC: Yeah, I-I feel awfully ridiculous, you know. I mean, there's about two hundred rocks and each of them walks off with one, you know?

LRH: Okay. Now get a refusal to duplicate yourself.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Tell these Martians you refuse to duplicate yourself anymore.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Do that again.

PC: Well, they duplicated me.

LRH: Okay. Be the Martians and duplicate yourself.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Do it some more.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Do it some more.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Now be yourself and duplicate the Martians.

PC: Uh …

LRH: Too many of them already?

PC: Yeah! I mean, they've got me … They've got me duplicated already, and it's about even now.

LRH: Oh, I see. Well, mock-up ten times as many Martians as there are of you.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And because there's so many of them have I can't get at you.

PC: Okay.

LRH: All right. And duplicate that mass.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Duplicate it some more.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Duplicate it some more.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Some more.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Some more.

PC: Yes.

LRH: All right. Throw all that away.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Be in the center of Mars.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Surface of Mars.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Go find, now, the Gates of Mars.

PC: Hmm. Well, all right.

LRH: How do they look?

PC: Well, uh-stone. It's a tall, very tall, stone, reddish.

LRH: Very weather-beaten?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Good. Pass in and out of them a few times.

PC: Okay.

LRH: What happened?

PC: I'm at the main one.

LRU: Okay. All right, be above Earth.

PC: Uh-huh.

LRH: How do you feel about Mars?

PC: Well, it's all right to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.

LRH: You wouldn't want to live there, huh? Okay. Now be near Earth.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Be near the Moon.

PC: Mm-hm,

LRH: Be near the Sun.

PC: All right.

LRH: Be near Earth.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Moon.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Sun.

PC: Mm-hm,

LRH: Now, where would you really hate to be interiorized?

PC: Well, ah …

LRH: [to audience] He's saying to himself, "He's going to put me there!" [laughter]

PC: No, like … like … the first … uh, the first thought was a … a body. But I don't really mind being interiorized in a body except under certain circumstances, like I wouldn't want to be interiorized in a hospital or … or a … or a jail or a … you know. If there's not going to be any body-I'd like to have some body have a little freedom.

LRH: Oh, I see. Well, let's find a jail.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Be in the jail.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Outside the jail

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: In the jail.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Outside of it.

PC: Yeah, well …

LRH: What's the matter?

PC: I'm still in.

LRH: You're still in?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Oh, I see. Well, mock-up a cop and have him open the door — a mock-up door for you, and let you out.

PC: Oh, I get it. [laughs]

LRH: Well …

PC: Uh—those other guys in there can't get out, you know?

LRH: Oh, I see. I catch. All right. Now be in the jail again.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Be out of it.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: In it.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Out of it.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Is this easier now?

PC: Well, yeah, but-uh …

LRH: What's happening?

PC: Well …

LRH: Mock-up yourself-mock-up a body which can be terrifically sympathetic to prisoners.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Fill the jail full of that body.

PC: Yeah, okay.

LRH: Now throw that body away and put another set of bodies in there that will be sympathetic toward prisoners.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: [yawns] Mm-hm.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Now be in and out of the jail several times.

PC: Yes.

LRH: This better now?

PC: Yes, it's easier.

LRH: It's easier.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Okay. Let's be in and out of it several more times.

What … ?

PC: I tell you, I still see …

LRH: Something just blow up?

PC: … those boys there, you know.

LRH: Did something just blow up?

PC: No, not exactly.

LRH: What happened?

PC: Like, I took a hunk of the wall out so there-could see some sun come in.

LRH: Oh, is that what happened? All right.

PC: I'd still like to do something for those boys that are in there.

LRH: You would, huh?

PC: Yeah.

LRH; Well, put it on the time track in the future.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Good. Now let's move in and out of a hospital several times. Find a hospital, move in and out of it.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Is that hard to do?

PC: No.

LRH: Getting easier?

PC: Yes.

LRH: All right. Now let's mock-up the hospital full of duplicates of a body that will be sympathetic toward patients.

PC: Hmm, yeah.

LRH: Do it again several times.

PC: Yeah, I didn't-I wasn't sure about which body at first, but it's a duplicate of my father's body.

LRH: Oh. Well, okay. Found a use for him?

PC: Yeah well, he's an MD, and it's his natural environment.

LRH: Oh, he's an MD?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: I see. Good. Let's get him moving you in and out of hospitals.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: And let's get him moving you in and out of jails.

PC: No, he doesn't ever move anybody out of a jail.

LRH: He just moves them in?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Is that right?

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Have him move thousands of you into jails.

PC: Uh-yeah.

LRH: Do you have an uncle who was a cop?

PC: No, my father's uncle was a Texas Ranger.

LRH: That's what I'm talking about.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Now have him move you in and out of jails.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Have him move you out, too.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Have your father move you in and the Texas Ranger move you out.

PC: Mm … yeah.

LRH: Got that? That easier now?

PC: Yeah, mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Now let's go someplace and find a piece of energy.

Find some energy.

PC: Yeah … well, yeah, okay.

LRH: What've you got?

PC: Sunlight.

LRH: All right. Now say, "That's cause."

PC: Yes.

LRH: And let's ask it what your name is.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Let's find another piece of energy. Ask it what your name is.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Find another piece of energy and ask it where you're supposed to go next.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Another one, do the same thing.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Mock-up a whole lot of lightning bolts, giving you directions.

PC: Okay, [laughs]

LRH: Is that easy to do?

PC: Yeah, okay. [laughs]

LRH: A whole lot more lightning bolts giving you directions.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now promise each one of them you'll take orders from energy only.

PC: Yes. [laughs]

LRH: Now get God standing up above you, throwing lightning bolts at you, madly throwing lightning bolts at you, at the same time saying, "Sorry to be so convincing,"

PC: [laughs] Okay.

LRH: That easy?

PC: Yeah. Mm-hm.

LRH: All right. Throw that away.

PC: Mm-hm, okay.

LRH: All right. Now be in your head.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Be outside of your head.

PC: Mm-hm,

LRH: Be inside.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Be outside.

PC: All right.

LRH: Inside.

PC: Okay.

LRH: Outside.

PC: Mm-hm. [laughs]

LRH: Now mock yourself up as stuck in your head.

PC: Oh, well, yeah, okay.

LRH: Now unstick it.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Do it again.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now get your body-a mock-up of your body over your body, pleading with you to "come in and stay in, please."

PC: Okay.

LRH: Got that?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Now get very sympathetic towards your body now, "Poor body. Poor body."

And get how you're supposed to take orders from it at all times.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Okay. All right, be in the middle of your head.

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Be outside.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Be in.

PC; Okay.

LRH: Be out.

PC: Yeah.

LRH: Now think of moving in.

PC: Yes.

LRH: Did you?

PC: Oh, yes.

LRH: All right, be outside. Now think of moving in and don't move in.

PC: Okay.

LRH: You do that now?

PC: Mm-hm.

LRH: Well. All right, let's be a thousand feet above Earth.

PC: Okay.

LRH: And now let's be where you please.

PC: Mm-hm,

LRH: Okay. End of session.

PC: Fine. Real fine.

[to audience] Who followed along with that? How much of it did you do successfully or unsuccessfully? How much of it did you do successfully? All of it?

Female voice: Mostly.

Hmm? Hmm?

Male voice: Real heavy response.

Real heavy.

Male voice: Finally got in the head.

You did.

Well, who's improved his perception a little bit by following through on that? Okay. Good enough. Good enough.

Note: The recording ends abruptly.
