Definitions

1. an Extension Course Section consists of a textbook and a series of lessons done on a glued-top tablet, one sheet per lesson, eight questions or exercises per lesson. The questions concern only vital definitions needed for a knowledge of the subject and examples of the use and meaning. The Extension Course should give the taker a passing knowledge of Dn and Scn terminology, phenomena, and parts. This is its goal and purpose. The reasoning or examples in a text are considered secondary, for the purposes of the course, to precision definitions. The Extension Course student should finish the course with the feeling he is dealing with a precision science, composed of identifiable parts. (HCOB 16 Dec 58)
