Definitions

procedure for auditing the accounts of a company in which the major parts of the accounts are examined in depth by rotation over a period of years as opposed to trying to audit all of a company's accounts regularly each year. Often auditors will take care not to establish a predictable pattern of handling any company's or group of companies' accounts.
