payment received by an AO (or OTL or ship) from a student in advance of the time when he will use the service. Any payment which results in the student having unused credit in his account can be considered an advance payment, whether the student qualifies for a 5% discount or not. For the 5% discount to apply, the student makes his payment well in advance of using the service,, usually prior to his arrival at the org. (FO 1828)
