Definitions

agents whose major purpose is to service ships calling in their ports, involving the provision of food and fuel, and booking cargo to fill the available capacity of those ships of "their" lines which are calling in the port where they are situated. A single agent or a chain of agents are contracted to one or more shipping lines to provide this service to all of their ships calling at that port. (FO 2738)
