the PC who goes up and the PC who goes down is rollercoastering. During that period of time when the PC was out of sight an SP was either directly contacted or restimulated. The person didn't have to see the SP but only had to see something that reminded him of the SP. He goes PTS so he rollercoasters. (SH Spec 73, 6608CO2)
