all noticeable matters are entered in the Quartermaster's notebook and all or any comments. The helmsman also notes in the Quartermaster's notebook all sightings of ships and landmarks and changes of course and speed, without fail, noting the time accurately, all weather and incidents aboard ship. All gear and persons entering or leaving ship in port, all stores, are entered by the Quartermaster of the Watch or Officer of the Deck when the ship is in port, plus all incidents and repairs.
