Definitions

(point of diminishing return) the point where increasing the amount of personnel, wages, material, etc., used to obtain a product now yields proportionately less than previous increases. This is often a symptom of the optimum level of productivity for a certain area under certain conditions now being bypassed and thus people are beginning to get in each other's way or some form of inefficiency is setting in.
