Definitions
the supervision of an activity against a laid down procedure, standard or policy and the correction of deviations from that procedure, standard or policy. Controlling is normally associated with management from the supervisory level up but can take the form of automated controlling as in the case of a machine that automatically rejects bottles not filled to the required level.
