Definitions

the use of accounting procedures to study the recorded transactions of a business in an effort to control costs. Accounting cost control can spot the inefficient use or misappropriation of funds and establish responsibility for such. Bills paid twice, overexpenditures, unauthorized expenditures etc., are all the subject of accounting cost control. See OPERATIONAL COST CONTROL.
