In Medieval times a [[MASTER|Master]] signified a person who had attained a high [[LEVEL|level]] of technical and artistic perfection in a trade. He had his [[OWN|own]] workshop and was an [[EMPLOYER|employer]] of apprentices and journeymen whom he [[TRAINED|trained]] and [[PAID|paid]] in [[EXCHANGE|exchange]] for their work.
